Hey folks-

So we’d been toying with the idea of taking Bailey’s mad awesome T-shirt design and getting it actually printed on some shirts, instead of using our mad iron-on skills. Thing is, though, we’re not made of money, and there are price breaks for larger orders. So, awesome fans, just to get some rough numbers, would you buy a shirt? At what price?

We’re not looking for a commitment, just some rough numbers. We understand. We’re independent ladies.

In a surprise that was so surprising that it even caught us by surprise, The Gun Show will be performing their hit show “The Gun Show Welcomes You To The Gun Show” one more time this Friday, April 2! If you were shut out of one of the last two shows, this is your chance! Am I excited? Yes! Am I overusing exclamation points? Yes! Do I care? A little!

Bring your tickets and your best pair of astronaut diapers and be there!

Women in Comedy Festival! Tonight!

So, er, sorry for the short notice, but I’m kind of a flake, you know? Look, I have a day job! Stop judging me!

Anyway, we’re having a show tonight! You should be there! It’s at ImprovBoston at 7:30 as part of the Women in Comedy Festival. We’ll be sharing the slot with the lovely ladies of OBV and Rogue Burlesque. That’s right! Laughter and partial nudity! How can you not see this? I mean just the word pasties is hilarious.

In all seriousness, I’ve seen them and they’re amazing. And by “them,” I mean the performers, not their breasts. Not that their breasts aren’t also amazing. I mean, they are. I’ve also seen them. Because I’ve seen the show. Where am I going with this? I’m not sure. But suddenly, I’m talking to myself, and I feel awkward.

Extra! Extra! The Gun Show Sells Out!

No, we haven’t made a deal with GE to plug microwave ovens in our show… yet. (Call me, Alec Baldwin.) But this Friday, we sold out the theater! Wow!! So big thanks to everyone who came to see the show on Friday! We had a great time doing it, and we hope you had an equally great time watching it. This is from all of The Gun Show to all of you fabulous people out there!

Hey! No tongue!

This is great news for us hams because the more people who laugh with (at) us, the better we feel about ourselves and the more distorted our sense of our own greatness becomes. (Call me, Alec Baldwin.)

We’ve got one more show in this run, this Friday! If this last show is any indicator, I recommend buying your tickets early online! Oh, and Alec Baldwin — call me!

Holla: International Women’s Day!

So, I didn’t know it until I found out from the lovely ladies of LUPEC, but yesterday was international women’s day! So I just figured that we here at The Gun Show should take the time to give a big shout out to some of the women who have blazed a path of comedy before us.

Ms. Lucille Ball - "“I'm not funny. What I am is brave.”

Gracie Allen - “When I was born I was so surprised I didn't talk for a year and a half.”

Elaine May - " The only thing experience teaches you is what you can't do. When you start, you think you can do anything. And then you start to get a little tired."

And countless others, who are blazing a trail even today — Carol Burnett, Ellen Degeneres, Roseanne Barr, Tina Fey, Whoopi Goldberg, Janeane Garofalo, to name just a few. Thank you, ladies. We salute you.
